Over the past twenty years Glenis has worked in the independent
film and television industry, as a producer, line producer and
production manager. Her portfolio of work includes documentaries,
film and television drama, children's and youth television,
commercials, music videos and theatrical short films, including
Song of the Siren, Shoes, Eau de la Vie,
The Grocer's Apprentice and more
recently Mokopuna, Ainsley Gardner's directorial
debut.
Glenis's interest in new media and education was the inspiration
behind Project Q (finalist Japan Prize and Air NZ Screen
Awards '06), which she co-developed and produced with Di
Oliver-Zahl, and the documentary Michael King - a moment in
time with director Clare O'Leary. She is developing
further educational and multi-media projects with GOGO Media,
feature and short films with One Car Films while freelancing in the
commercial industry.
Glenis is an active member of the New Zealand film industry. She
helped establish and Chaired the Wellington Fringe Film Festival;
was a founding member of the WIFT Wellington Chapter in 1993;
immediate past President of WIFT Wellington and is currently the NZ
WIFTI board representative.
