We're wondering if half of you have taken a new year's resolution not to fill out any e-surveys...we'd certainly love your feedback on ours, but for some reason it seems like lots of you have taken a vow to avoid it! So please, take a few minutes (seriously, it's not one of those surveys that goes forever - it really only takes a few minutes), to answer a few questions about what we're doing right, wrong, too much and not enough. As thanks, we'll even put you in the draw to have your membership fees paid for the year. Just click here, bang off a few answers and make our day. (Please don't make us beg!)

  1. I really like the kinds of things covered in news at the moment. Lots of food for thought on the challenges facing women from around the world.

My hope is that people use the website as a focus to discuss some of the pressing issues that face us as women in the industry. For example why is it that we feel we aren't participating equally?

Is it a glass ceiling, is it lack of good stories from women, is it that women can't write, can we not get people to take our stories seriously, or are we too busy with bringing up families so we drop out of the loop? and on and on. Everyone will have a different opinion but we need to talk about the challenges in a specific way.

I think we should also use it to celebrate each others' victories.

It's a success for everyone that that Gaylene Preston is mentor at Women in the Director's Chair or that Michelle Savill is at Killer Films. Well done ladies, and also to all the others out there who are realising their creative vision every day.
