Vanessa Wells is a presenter, actor, voice artist and filmmaker.
Work in television begain in 2007 at CTV. During her time there,
Vanessa clocked up over 300 hours of live and prerecorded
televison, presenting mainly magazine style shows. Over the last
two years, Vanessa has presented a further 3 series with the
regional broadcaster, and is currently in development for
another.
While remaining local to Christchurch, Vanessa has also worked
in short films, music videos, national television drama and
documentary, and commercials. Vanessa has a voice studio at home,
and her voice business has clients around the world.
2015 ended working in the production team on the feature film
'Human Traces', and 2016 began in production of her own documentary
about four Aranui High School Students competing in the Coast to
Coast multisport race. Both are due for release later in the
year.
Vanessa was a board member with Screen Canterbury before the
earthquakes, and has been a member of WIFT since 2007.
Vanessa is currently co-Vice President of WIFT.
