Jan Hellriegel has been consumed by music for more than 30 years as a singer/songwriter, and now also as a player behind the scenes.
She founded licensing & supervision specialist Aeroplane Music Services, and more recently has developed 'new-school' music publisher Songbroker.
Songbroker represents the work of about 180 New Zealand songwriters and composers, and offers the local industry access to pre-approved or easy-to-clear music options. Songbroker has had numerous songs placed on Filthy Rich, Shortland Street, Brokenwood Mysteries 1-4, 800 Words and Wanted 2.
Notable recent Aeroplane projects include Poi E, The Dark Horse, Dotcom: Caught In a Web, Two Little Boys, Shout at the Ground and Wanted 2. Aeroplane also represents masters for Warner Music NZ, Flying Nun, Arch Hill, the FMG catalogue and international indie collective ADA.
Jan still finds time for her own music, releasing new singles fairly regularly, and is currently working on a new studio album to be called, ironically, Sportsman Of The Year.
Jan's most recent single release is For The Love Of Glory.
