Film Office Coordinator Queenstown Lakes District Council + Film Otago Southland
Kahli Scott has found herself in various corners of the creative industries over the past five years, in roles that combine both the left and right sides of her brain.
Originally from Brisbane, Australia, she worked in administration at a creative industries college and film school before moving to London in the UK. In London, she got into the world of live content production, programming and curating talks, panels and workshops for the International Broadcasting Convention and Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. Working for Cannes Lions introduced Kahli to the exciting intersection of entertainment, advertising and technology, and how it's influencing the film industry. She worked closely with entertainment companies, advertising agencies and brands like Spotify, Paramount, BBC, WPP, Mattel, and Lego to produce future-facing live content that shaped the media landscape.
After two years in London, Kahli opted for a quieter lifestyle and moved to Queenstown in May of 2018. She's now coordinating the in-council film office for Queenstown Lakes District Council, as well as working for Film Otago Southland, the regional film office covering the lower half of the South Island.
Kahli is also a creative writer and has published short fiction, interactive stories and memoir in print and online. She would love to combine her love of writing and film into a screenplay one day.
