Line Producer
Leela's most recent work has been with Flying Fish, working as line producer on the escalator feature film currently shooting on Waiheke, Orphans & Kingdoms, which is director by Paolo Rotondo and produced by Fraser Brown.
Leela was trained as a lawyer, with her experience covering a number of business sectors including the entertainment industry. After 5 years as a partner in a niche commercial law firm, Leela decided to focus on her passion for moving image and is now using her skills and experience to work as a freelance producer in commercials and film.
In addition to her work as a TVC producer at Flying Fish, primarily with TVC directors Luke Savage, Sam Kelly and Joe Lonie, Leela has produced three short films, the independently funded Salt & Vinegar, and NZFC Premiere Shorts Monifa and Ride, and has several feature film projects in various stages of development. Currently she is working on Paolo Rotondo's debut feature, Orphans & Kingdoms, in production on Waiheke Island, with ex WIFT intern Jessica Elsmore.
