Producer, Director
After graduating, she worked on a number of productions in the Auckland film and television industry including 'The Vintners Luck' and in accounts on 'Go Girls' and 'The Emperor'.
Her dedication to becoming a Producer has driven her to be involved in producing many low budget short films. The most recent 'Help' just won best film, best actor and the audience award at Tropfest. She embarked on her ambitious first feature at 23, "The Richmond Family Massacre" with director Lance McMinn, a film for which she learnt to operate a camera. Her most recent completed feature, "Crackheads" had its world Premiere at the Oaxaca FilmFest in Mexico and US Premiere at the Austin Film Festival in October. Since then it has won awards at the LA Comedy Festival and a New Zealand Film Award for 'Best Self Funded Feature'. It also enjoyed a short but successful alternative theatrical run at the Maidment Theatre. Her next feature film 'Sex With an Alien' is currently in development.
Complementing her film work Nicola recently completed a Diploma in Marketing Communications from Massey University. To assist in developing her worldwide sales and marketing she attended the American Film Market for the third time in 2013 and was part of their newly created Producers Forum.
"Film has always been the driving force behind everything I do. I'll go to the grave with a film camera in my hand, and you can be sure my funeral will be on time and under budget!"
