This week the Film Archive is commemorating the life of
Wellington filmmaker and poet Kathy Dudding who passed away a year
ago. They will be having a special screening of her short films and
readings of her poetry in order to raise money to purchase a
commemorative seat for her. Get along and help out for this
wonderful fundraising event.
In other news this week, the much-loved Kiwi hit film
Boy has been picked up for U.S. distribution, New Zealand
On Screen is set to hit the road bringing a programme of Kiwi short
films to the South Island, and Dame Kate Harcourt has won Best
Actress at the Rhode Island Film Festival for her role in
Pacific Dreams.
