This week the Film Archive is commemorating the life of Wellington filmmaker and poet Kathy Dudding who passed away a year ago. They will be having a special screening of her short films and readings of her poetry in order to raise money to purchase a commemorative seat for her. Get along and help out for this wonderful fundraising event.

In other news this week, the much-loved Kiwi hit film Boy has been picked up for U.S. distribution, New Zealand On Screen is set to hit the road bringing a programme of Kiwi short films to the South Island, and Dame Kate Harcourt has won Best Actress at the Rhode Island Film Festival for her role in Pacific Dreams.
