Congratulations to Nathalie Boltt and Clare Burgess whose  short film adaptation of Joy Cowley's story The Silk has just been accepted into the Vancouver WIFT film festival. The film is Nathalie's directorial debut and has already been accepted in nine film festivals around the world, including the Rockport, Oregan and Macon festivals in the US.

The self-funded film starring Dame Kate Harcourt, Don Langridge and Nick Blake was finished in August 2010, and will now be submitted to film festivals in New Zealand and Australia. To date it has only had a cast and crew screening locally. Nathalie will attend  the Vancouver festival and she'll be making the most of the opportunity to drum up some more support for her film making.  See www.thesilk.co.nz for more information and check out Nathalie's profile on the homepage.
