Here's a chance to help activate gender
equality internationally! In 2019, Japanese women made headlines so
documentary maker Gwen Isaacs went to Japan to find out why. Gwen
observed the ignition of female-empowerment (Feminizumu) within the
Japanese women she encountered, began filming their stories, and
the result was her short documentary Tokyo Woman.
"I met - and filmed - some incredible women,
who privileged me with their personal stories, three of which are
touched on in this short film," says Gwen. However, her doco is a
part of a much bigger idea, The Tokyo Woman
Project, which aims to help more of these personal stories
to emerge - not just in Japan, but internationally.

chance we have to show these types of stories are necessary!
