With the year now well and truly underway, TVNZ's annual funding deadline calendar is drafted and available in the Google Drive HERE alongside delivery specifications, asset requirements and publicity guidelines.
The deadline to receive pitches for consideration in NZ On Air’s Round Tahi is Thursday 9 April 2026 at 6pm. These need to be submitted in the Commissioning portal, Tono.
Local content is important to New Zealand audiences and to TVNZ, and they continue to look for bold, ambitious series that reflect the stories of Aotearoa and connect with audiences at scale. All projects seeking TVNZ’s support, whether new, returning or previously funded, must be submitted via Tono by the deadline.

Te Māngai Pāho’s 2026 funding deadlines should be confirmed in the coming weeks and the TVNZ calendar will be updated once these are confirmed.
