Scholarships going for UCLA Writing Screenplay Coverage course
Posted Tuesday 08 Jun 2021
Script To Screen is offering six scholarships for screen practitioners to take part in UCLA's 10-week online training course Writing Screenplay Coverage. Script to Screen will provide wrap-around support, two workshops with the six participants one before and one after the course, and facilitate a study group.
The course dates are 30 September to 8 December 2021 (NZST). The course content is delivered through an online learning platform where you can engage with the instructor and your classmates. There are no required live meetings, but assignments are due regularly. This course upskills aspiring story analysts, script editors, script assessors and development producers.
Running from 5-8 August, this is a selective event for producers to pitch their script-stage screen projects to potential financiers. The Market also includes screenings for buyers, modules for publishers and IP owners (including IP relating to games, podcasts, stage, musicals, online content, and pieces of journalism) pitching to producers their manuscripts/creative assets for potential screen adaptations, and writers pitching their screenplays to producers, plus panel discussions.
