Women's Short Screenplay Contest with a $US1,000 prize!

The CinemaStreet Women’s Short Screenplay Competition invites women screenwriters to submit short dramatic scripts of any genre (20 minutes and under) to CinemaStreet Pictures for production consideration. The winning screen writer will receive a $1,000 prize (about $NZ1,386.00 at the current exchange rate) for the option to produce the film. Screenplays may be from anywhere in the world, but must be in English.
 
The application fee is $30; $20 for Members of Women in Film Chapters, The Writers Lab current and former applicants, The Black List Members, International Screenwriters Association Members, Women Make Movies Filmmakers, IFP Members and The Rehearsal Club Members.

The deadline for entries is July 30, 2021

Scholarships going for UCLA Writing Screenplay Coverage course

Script To Screen is offering six scholarships for screen practitioners to take part in UCLA's 10-week online training course Writing Screenplay Coverage. Script to Screen will provide wrap-around support, two workshops with the six participants one before and one after the course, and facilitate a study group.
The course dates are 30 September to 8 December 2021 (NZST). The course content is delivered through an online learning platform where you can engage with the instructor and your classmates. There are no required live meetings, but assignments are due regularly. This course upskills aspiring story analysts, script editors, script assessors and development producers.
