TVNZ is seeking an experienced Director of Coverage, who is logistically and editorially brilliant, and can direct and coordinate daily news coverage and breaking stories seamlessly under pressure. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills. A superb judgement in news content, understanding of the political landscape and ability to influence others is paramount as well as an unassailable ability to identify and analyse new trends. The Director of Coverage will work closely with the Newsgathering, Daily Programmes and Current Affairs teams and will report to Cliff Joiner, the Editor of Newsgathering.
