The New Zealand family mystery-thriller Kaitangata Twitch, which screened on Māori Television earlier this year, has been selected as a finalist at the Kidscreen Awards in the Best Non-Animated or Mixed Series Family Category. The winners will be announced at a high-profile presentation in New York on 17 February, 2011 at Kidscreen Summit.
Garnering plenty of praise locally, it's nice to see that the series has been recognized overseas too, a sentiment echoed by producer Yvonne Mackay of Wellington, NZ's ProductionShed.
"We are very excited about this nomination," Yvonne says. "Kidscreen Summit is renowned for being one of the kids' entertainment industry's most important annual events."
