The Puhinui Peninsula will become a melodious playground as the first ever GrassRoots Festival kicks off for two days on 23rd & 24th April 2011 at the stunning Puhinui Reserve. The two-day festival will bring together some of the world's most renowned artists as well as a raft of local acts across a multitude of genres whilst still having its core ethos firmly grounded in blues and roots music. Over 30 artists on two stages will launch GrassRoots, including BB King, Elvis Costello, Ben Harper, Rodrigo Y Gabriela, Eric Bibb, with many more local and international artists to be announced before the end of January.
