Onfilm reports that the news of Boy being illegally downloaded ahead of its international release won't just concern filmmakers, with broadcasters equally worried about the growing incidence of peer-to-peer file sharing in New Zealand which is now higher than in the United States. "Illegal downloading is becoming more of a concern to broadcasters," NZ Television Broadcasters Council chair Rick Friesen told Onfilm. "Over the last year, over 900,000 illegal downloads of television programmes in New Zealand have occurred - and that's about four times the rate it happens in the US."
