Feedback wanted for Film Friendly Auckland submission

Posted Tuesday 15 Jun 2010

Auckland City Council has drafted a film protocol to create a Film Friendly Auckland and feedback on this protocol is open until 17th June. They would like to know what could be improved, what is missing and what is good about the draft protocol. You can read it here http://www.aucklandcity.govt.nz/auckland/economy/film/docs/filmprotocol.pdf. The two main areas of concern that were raised at the workshop held on Tuesday 8th June were

  1. Who should be responsible if a permit is breached? The production company, the producer and / or the production manager and locations manager? A breach may incur a fine or a period of time when permits will not be granted to the person or entity responsible for the breach.
  2. The turnaround time and responsiveness for permits.

Film Auckland is preparing a submission and you can send your feedback to Michael Brook info@filmauckland.com +64 275 303 343 or you can email Kathy.Oconnor@aucklandcity.govt.nz direct.
