Show Me Shorts will again present a short film development lab as part of its festival programme, in partnership with Script to Screen and with the support of the NZFC. Building on last year's success, the full day Lab will offer selected up-and-coming short filmmakers the opportunity to develop a concept and script for a new short film, with experienced industry professionals providing tailored advice. A call for applications will go out later in the year. Show Me Shorts has also announced a Best Student Film award category for 2010 sponsored by Screen Hub. For more information go to www.showmeshorts.co.nz. Closing date for submissions for the festival is 7 June.
