A co-production forum aimed at encouraging new relationships between UK and Australian producers will be held in London immediately prior to this year's Cannes Film Festival. The event received formal approval last week from marketing body Ausfilm, which is working with Australian state agencies and the UK Film Council to put on the two-day forum in May. An open invitation will be extended to active UK producers, with about 30 expected to be involved, while state-based film agencies in Australia have called for applications from producers with a feature film project in development who are seeking co-production partners in the UK. See this article in Screen Daily and the websites of state agencies in Australia such as Screen NSW.
