Resignation of Executive Director

Posted Monday 08 Mar 2010

Anne O'Brien has resigned as WIFT NZ Executive Director. Announcing her resignation late last month, the WIFT NZ Board commended Anne for her part in the organisation's consolidation and growth over the past three years, particularly the amalgamation of WIFT Auckland and WIFT Wellington into WIFT NZ, which now has over 550 members.  Since Anne began as Executive Director, the WIFT NZ Awards have forged themselves as a key event celebrating the achievements of women in the industry, and the professional development programme has expanded to comprise a mentoring initiative and a regular series of events in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch on a wide range of topics.  Anne will be finishing with WIFT NZ on 1 June 2010 in order to pursue her career as a consultant, specialising in project/event/organisational management and communications work.
