This June, Script to Screen in association with CoLab and Nga Aho Whakaari will run a digital media workshop. Up to nine selected teams will spend a weekend producing a 2-minute story-based project for the mobile phone or internet, under the tutelage of experienced practitioners Laurent Antonczak, Bevin Linkhorn, Simon Marler and Pita Turei. Mobile phones & mini DV cameras for shooting and computers for editing will be supplied, as well as technical and facilitative support.
Applicants are required to submit an outline of the project with up to three accompanying images, and selections will be made on the basis that they suit the medium, are innovative, achievable, and tell a story. Projects relating to the marketing of a film will be considered as long as they are story-based. The workshop is open to teams of 1-3 who need to cover the key skills to produce the project. Application Deadline: 14 May. Workshop fee for selected teams: $60 (no application fee). For more info see: http://www.script-to-screen.co.nz/2010/04/call-for-applications-digital-media-workshop/
