First Annual Global Social Change Film Festival & Institute (1)

A call for submissions has been announced for the inaugural Global Social Change Film Festival & Institute to be held in Ubud, Bali from April 13th - 17th 2011. The institute supports filmmakers and activists in creating inspired film and media, reaching a wide audience and motivation social action. The GSCFFI will feature four days of films, panels, workshops, selected shorts and special events to inspire and build a global community focused on expanding the reach of conscious social change film and media.

The focus of the inaugural festival is Global Women and Film and it will feature international women filmmakers as honourees & keynote speakers. In addition high profile artists will be honoured including award-winning Indonesian filmmaker and activist Nia Dinata who will also serve on the Institute Faculty.
