The 20th annual Florida Film Festival, April 8th -17th, 2011 is now open for submissions. The Florida Film Festival is accredited as a qualifying festival for the Oscars� in the Live Action and Animated Short film categories. The winner of the Grand Jury Award for Best Narrative Short and Best Animated Short will automatically qualify to enter the Live Action and Animated Short Film categories of the Academy Awards. The deadlines for shorts are 22nd October for early submissions and 19th November for late submissions and the deadlines for features are 5th November for early submissions and 8th December for late submissions.
