V48Seconds: Back For A Quickie

Posted Thursday 07 Apr 2011

V48Seconds, the official warm-up for the infamous V48Hours competition, is back for 2011 and has new judging criteria, an epic prize pack and new awards.
V48Seconds calls for budding film makers to choose a movie clip from films past, and re-shoot it in 48 seconds throwing in a creative 'V' twist for good measure. The winner of V48Seconds will be judged by a panel of industry experts including V48Hours founder Ant Timpson, Entertainment maven Kate Rodger, U Live presenter Connor Nestor, James Anderson and Nick Ward of Two Heads, and film critic Dominic Corry.
Entries will be judged on performances, idea execution, scene choice, originality and the creative integration of V product. The winner will walk away with an Apple Macbook Pro featuring Final Cut Pro Express, a 42" Panasonic Plasma TV, a year's supply of V and if they're tackling V48Hours, they'll receive $1000 cash and free entry. And it doesn't end there. Runner up prizes include an HD camcorder, V Super packs, cash and plenty more.
New for 2011, V has added the V48Seconds People's Choice Award, where the V republic community will be given the opportunity to vote for their favourite film. A year's supply of V will also be given for the 'Most Creative integration of V product', 'Biggest Twist', 'Highest energy film' and more. (Which is probably quite exciting if you're always quaffing energy drinks...)
Registration for V48Seconds is now open here.
