President Catherine Fitzgerald sent us a few words about her experience on the weekend at the Dunedin Festival of Film and Television Craft. Catherine said, "I was fortunate to participate in this festival of the craft of film and television with a large group of delegates from Dunedin and Christchurch. The weekend ranged from practical exercises from Steve Barr designed to get us thinking creatively about what it really takes to build the team which can get a film made, to solid checklists, strategies and advice from Robert Sarkies fresh from the shoot of his 3rd feature film, all peppered with vibrant discussion in and out of sessions with those innovative, committed and energetic people who are making screen work happen in the south. I was inspired to meet writers and directors, new and experienced with original ideas which are worth pursuing and at the same time bask in southern warmth and welcome."
