TVNZ Access Services is looking for a new full-time fixed term Audio Describer to produce audio description for a range of television programmes, providing access to blind and vision impaired viewers. Audio description is the art of making the visual verbal.
Audio describers provide a spoken narration woven around the television programme dialogue which helps blind or vision impaired viewers to picture the on screen action, body language, facial expressions and scene locations.
