For Women, Sundance is Sunnier Than Hollywood

The New York Times recently ran a short article noting the difference between the representation of women at Sundance, held every year in Park City, Utah, and the 600-odd miles away where Hollywood begins.

They note, that of the top 100 movies at the 2010 US box office, three were made by women: The Last Song (51), Nanny McPhee Returns (96) and Ramona and Beezus (100). Meanwhile, 27 of the 117 features which played at this year's festival had female directors. Check out their full article here.
