Gaylene Preston is 2011 mentor director at The Women In the Director's Chair Programme in Banff, Canada. The workshops are specially designed to advance the creative, business and leadership skills and talents of mid-career women directors in Canada. Gaylene Preston has been working with senior Canadian industry professionals, Cinematographers, Peter Woeste, Tony Westman, Editors, Lisa Binkley and Roger Mattiussi, Actor, G. Christianne Hirt Shaw and Post Audio Mixer Orest Sushko and programme producer and co-creator, Carol Whiteman who, along with experienced screen actors from Vancouver, Calgary and Toronto, including Tantoo Cardinal (Dances With Wolves, Legends of the Fall) and professional crews are supporting the learning process of this year's eight women directors.
