This is a full day workshop aimed at promoting independent script development skills. It will focus on the delivery of new drafts and their supporting documents.
The programme includes sessions on:
Script Assessment:What are the core elements of your script and are they working together to deliver what you intended? What to expect from a script assessment, how to interpret what the criticism means and how to survive these without giving up and becoming a lumberjack.
Rewriting: Where to start with your next draft and how to take your script to the next level.
Treatments: What the different kinds of treatments are and what they are used for. How best to create these documents so they deliver effectively. In light of the upcoming changes to the NZFC's development funding application processes and criteria this session is essential.
Guest speakers include Steve Barr, Kathryn Burnett and Script Executives from the NZFC Development team. To register please email steven@nzwritersguild.org.nz
