See There Once Was an Island While You Can

We mentioned the theatrical release of this film the other week, however thought it was worth another plug, since small local releases have a habit of appearing then disappearing before you get around to see them. And of course, they can always do with your support.
Internationally award-winning climate-change documentary There Once was an Island: Te Henua e Nnoho, by New Zealand director Briar March, is now playing at select theatres around New Zealand, including Wellington's Paramount. After over 50 international festivals and more than 10 international prizes including two Jury Grand Prix, two Best Documentary, a Qantas Award for editing and the prestigious Leipziger Ring award.

Four years in the making, There Once was an Island is the story of a Pacific Island community in Papua New Guinea - their unique way of life and their fight to preserve what really matters in the face of climate change, including a terrifying flood. Ultimately There Once was an Island is about what makes us who we are and what we all stand to lose as climate change unfolds.
