The Actors Laboratory holding a workshop in Auckland this weekend, Saturday 26 March, with Miranda Harcourt, one of their most experienced practitioners.
Miranda's one-day workshops embrace a range of styles and techniques in order to maximize talent and on-screen skills. This includes on-camera scene-work. Miranda draws on a wide range of new and established methodologies to tailor an approach specific to each actor's needs.
You will work with a camera-operator and equipment to achieve a natural, connected screen performance. You'll also focus on acting skills and tools to advance your work for stage or screen. Using games and tools Miranda guides each student on their own particular journey. Miranda believes that actors learn most from the experience of success.
Miranda brings to her work as a screen-acting coach a diverse range of experiences:
- acclaimed stage and screen actor
- Head of Acting and Screen at Toi Whakaari - NZ Drama School
- acting coach on a number of international feature films
