Victim Support Appeal

Posted Tuesday 08 Mar 2011

Sian Jacquet has contacting us to let us know about a street appeal for Victim Support this week, happening on Friday 11 March between 7:00 am and 6:00 pm, on Queen Street between the Ferry Building and Aotea Square. Victim Support helps support victims of crime and trauma.

If you're not already aware of Victim Support, and what they do, here's what Sian had to say:

"Wherever you are in Auckland....you can do something! If we all try and collect $100, we collectively can train and have someone delivering this truly amazing service! I am asking very, very nicely to support an organisation that is literally the ambulance at the bottom of the cliff for people in their darkest hour of need.

Take 5 minutes to learn about what they actually do day in day out all over NZ. www.victimsupport.org.nz

I hope we never need them....but the truth is, we or someone we care for may well one day!

Thank you for caring, Sian"

Collectors are needed to help on the day, so if you're interested, e-mail Ke'ala at keala.camptonbaker@victimsupport.org.nz or call/txt 0275 00 22 44
