Posted Tuesday 17 May 2011

Have you got skills & experience in filmmaking, photography, or creative digital media? Are you interested in helping out the next generation? Look after a team, share your skills and make a difference as a mentor for the Inspiring Stories Charitable Trust.

Inspiring Stories and CoLab are now calling for applications from industry professionals interested in volunteering their services for the Auckland Workshop. This will be held on Tuesday 31st May & Wednesday 1st June 2011 at AUT University's City Campus, Auckland in association with CoLab and AUT.

The workshops are two-day intensive, and designed to prepare participants for an 8-week documentary film production on an inspirational young person doing great things in their region. As a mentor you will help the next generation of film makers with:

  • principles of good storytelling & effective communication

  • the production process

  • creative digital media (filmmaking/photography/web)

  • connection with innovative young people in the region

  • And plant the seeds for their 8-week film project, with clear goals & milestones in place

Applications can be made online through the Inspiring Stories Trust website - www.inspiringstories.org.nz

Be part of this worthy venture and help the next generation of filmmakers!
