While one news site waxes lyrical about the upswing in women's representation, another laments that it's still not good enough.

This article on The Guardian website takes more of a glass-half-empty approach, noting that despite the higher number of women competing for the Palme D'Or "This is still only four out of 20 directors - depressingly, the largest number of women ever to have competed for the Palme in a single year since the festival began in 1946."
