Birds Eye View Festival Takes a Year Out

Following a decade of radical growth and seven acclaimed film festivals, Birds Eye View (BEV) - the UK's leading festival dedicated to celebrating and supporting international women filmmakers - is taking a year to develop plans for a sustainable future amidst the shifting landscape of the British film industry.
The festival was forced to make the difficult decision not to run in 2012 following a 90% drop in its public funds. However, BEV will maintain activity throughout the year with screenings and events for their membership scheme, The Nest.
