Top Year For NZ Films

Posted Tuesday 15 Nov 2011

The New Zealand Film Commission noted recently that 2011 has been a bumper year for NZ films, with more releases this year than any other (this also includes those films made independently of NZFC funding, which the NZFC acknowledges is no mean feat). There are many films in post or prepping so 2012 is shaping up to be at least as busy as 2011.
They also note that coming up on November 17th is the release of the final NZFC-supported film for 2011, When a City Falls. This powerful project covers the two earthquakes which hit Christchurch and how the people and the city go forward.
