A couple of members have projects appearing on national television over the next two weeks, so make a note in your diary, or set the recorder. First up, Sons from Afar, a documentary produced by Kay Ellmers, will premiere on Maori Television on Saturday 22 October at 8:30pm. The film follows New Zealand hip-hop artist, Che Fu and his father, musician Tigilau Ness, as they share an intimate pilgrimage to their island homeland of Niue.Their first ever journey to the tiny Pacific atoll to perform at the Niue Arts and Culture Festival has a profound and unexpected effect on their whole family. Then the folllowing weekend, Stephanie Bennet's (producer and director) documentary, Headland: Where nature meets sculplture, will show on Friday 28 October at 10.05 pm, then Saturday 29 October at 10.05 am and 2.05 pm. This film tells the story of the history and mounting of the 2011 Waiheke Islands Biennal Sculpture event, the largest outdoor sculpture event in New Zealand.
