Posted Tuesday 18 Oct 2011

NZ On Air has announced commitment of over $14 million for 2012 kids' programming from its annual kids' TV funding round. Christchurch-based company Whitebait Productions (The Erin Simpson Show, What Now) and Flux/Pickled Possum, who shoot the live action parts of Tiki Tour in Christchurch, received over half the total.
Elsewhere, Wellington got in on the act with KHF Media following up Reservoir Hill with an 8 x 30` teen rom-com/whodunnit Girl Vs Boy. The other new work is a half-hour special for TV2, The Missing Christmas, which comes from this year's V48 Hours runners-up, Mukpuddy Animation. The remaining awards go to a number of TV2 returning series.
