MediaWorks Research Analyst, Auckland

This is a very business focussed role within the TV Sales team, tasked with growing revenue and increasing market share through the provision of media and business research analysis.

A balance of analytical and creative ability is required as the scope of the role covers database development and maintenance, analysis and interpretation of research data, and creation of client centred business solutions.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of two years research analysis experience and possess the following:

  • Advanced analytical skills.
  • An understanding of environmental and market trends
  • Problem solving and decision-making.
  • Time and project management - ability to work under pressure.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Basic financial competency - budgeting, costs, margin returns etc.
  • Scenario modelling.
  • Advanced computer skills - Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint - including animation and custom design, Word, Photoshop, Media Databases.
  • Understanding of market research methodology and theory.
  • Familiarity with Nielsen's and other market research tools.
  • Demonstrate thorough understanding of the media industry and marketing principles.
