TVNZ Vault/Technical Co-ordinator, Avalon

TVNZ is looking for an enthusiastic person who is passionate about Television! You will have some Video Tape Editing experience to ensure that the TVNZ Archive collection is well managed and that customer requests are met. The job spans the full process from tape acquisition to delivery of footage using various formats. You will need to be methodical, thorough, detail conscious, and have proven knowledge of computer media. You will work in a dynamic team and be providing services to a wide range of people in the film and television industry.

The role of a Vault / Technical Coordinator is divided into two key parts. You will be working in the Archive Vault to select and manage the collection, issuing, returning of items and dispatching as well as the tape operation, editing and linefeeding.

You will need proven general and media computer skills, knowledge of editing and the ability to learn multiple media formats. Accuracy with systems, attention to detail, and great communication are vital to this role. You will also need to be physically fit as the role occasionally involves heavy lifting.

Whilst training will be given in library and technical skills, experience in operating post-production equipment is essential.
