Friday Tigers to screen at NZIFF

Posted Monday 22 Jul 2013

Notable Pictures' short film Friday Tigers, funded by the New Zealand Film Commission and written and directed by Aidee Walker screens at the New Zealand International Film Festival, which kicked off in Auckland this week. Notable Pictures is run by Julie Parnell who picked up the coveted 'Woman to Watch' award at the 2010 WIFT awards.

The film has also been selected in competition for NEW ZEALAND'S BEST. The film was submitted to the festival with over 90 other short films, which were whittled down to 12 on a short list before well known filmmaker Alison Maclean selected 6 finalists.

This means Friday Tigers will be judged alongside five other NZ short films, with substantial cash prizes up for grabs.

WIFT members can support by coming along to one of the screenings and voting for your favourite.

If you can't make the NZ's BEST screening, the film is also playing before the French romantic comedy It Boy, an excellent and funny film.
