Documentary Edge Festival is returning to Auckland CBD, and will be the first international film festival to be held at Auckland's very own, spectacular Q Theatre from 10 -21 April. In Wellington, the Festival continues its run from 8-19 May at Reading Cinemas Courtenay Place and this year an additional venue, The Film Archive, has been added.
The 2013 titles include Academy Award nominations and winners, Cannes and Sundance selections, a host of international festival films and home-grown Kiwi films. The Culture Vultures section boasts an impressive selection of music-based documentaries while categories on the American Dream, Sign of the Times and Game On (sports) reflect the current themes and conversations in the world we live in.
