GARDENING WITH SOUL

SPECIAL PREVIEW SCREENING WITH THE FILMMAKERS

6PM THURS 12 SEPTEMBER

RIALTO NEWMARKET

Rialto Cinemas New Market, in association with the Screen Director's Guild NZ will be hosting a special preview screening of this year's SMASH HIT of the NZ International Film Festival Gardening with Soul. The NZ documentary screening will be followed by a Q&A with the Director Jess Feast, Producer Vicky Pope and Editor Annie Collins and a discussion about documentary filmmaking process.

Gardening with Soul follows 90 year-old Sister Loyola Galvin over the course of 4 seasons in her garden at the Home of Compassion in Island Bay. Billed as a film about compassion, aging, faith and compost, the film sold out its festival screenings in Wellington, Christchurch and Auckland and has been lauded by critics:

"What a film! I've never seen anything so warmhearted or inspiringYou will not have a better time in the cinema this year!"

Graeme Tuckett-National Radio

"This quietly moving spiritual reflection on a life is beautifully shot, socially fascinating and completely charming."

Darren Bevan-TVNZ Online

The screening is at 6pm on Thurs 12 September at Rialto Cinema in New Market.
