The Goethe-Institut are delighted to present "The Transformation of the World into Music" a documentary by Werner Herzog - in cooperation with the New Zealand Film Archive.

Please join us for the screening of the film which will be followed by a by an inspiring conversation with Aidan Lang (Director, NZ Opera), Roger Wilson (baritone and bass soloist) and Margaret Medlyn (Head of Voice, NZSM); chaired by Eva Radich (Presenter ofUpbeat, Radio NZ).
This documentary by Werner Herzog deals with some of the most important aspects of the work and art of Richard Wagner and its reception, specifically the concept of a "Gesamtkunstwerk" as well as the relevance of the individual artist and the creation of cult-like followings.
