Oo! Where?: Queen's Wharf, Auckland Lantern Festival - it's FREE!
And when?: 7.30pm, Friday 14th February, 2014 (Valentine's Day y'all! What
better way to celebrate with your boo than with some awkward humour

FLAT3 hit the small screen almost a year ago and the Auckland Lantern Festival is
making it big on the outdoor screen at Queen's Wharf.
-
Bask in the shadow of the cruise liners as the girls of Flat3 entertain you with
their bad dancing and worse dating tips! Not in person though. That would be
awkward. Although some of us might sneak there to see if anyone came.
-
Munch on delicious street food as you chuckle at their terrible life decisions!
-
Gasp in the glow of festive lanterns as the hilarious situations devolve into
smart but occasionally coarse rhetoric (please be warned that the Flat3 is
rated M - offensive language and sexual references)
The 100% local indie-hit comedy webseries recently received funding from New
Zealand on Air, and will be shooting their 3rd and final webseries later in 2014.
More info about Flat3:
Sometimes smart, often silly, a little rude and a lot awkward, Flat3 is a Kiwi comedy
with a unique cultural take. It follows three Kiwi-Asian girls living together in Mt
Albert -Lee, Jessica, and Perlina -as they try to figure out who they are, what they're
doing in this life, and whose turn it is to buy toilet paper.
Flat3 is the latest offering from writer/director Roseanne Liang (Banana in a Nutshell;MyWeddingandOtherSecrets)
Flat3 stars, and is co-produced by JJ Fong (Go Girls;StepDave)
Flat3 also stars, and is co-produced by Perlina Lau and Ally Xue.
Flat3 Season2 is produced by Kerry Warkia (AucklandDaze)
"We started out making this on our own. We wanted to make something that was
funny to us, first and foremost. We were also surprised to notice that we were all
Asian women, but decided it would be better to gloss over that bit, and just try to be
funny."
Arguably one of the vanguard of NZ's indie-webseries renaissance, Flat3 is a lo-fi
local take on comedies like Sex and the City and HBO's Girls-a hilarious snapshot
of life as a girl, as a young person, and as an Asian in cosmopolitan NZ.
