We are delighted to announce that WIFT member and first time writer-producer, Sapna Samant's NZ short Kimbap has won the Best In The Show award at the Bluestocking Film Series in Maine USA.( http://www.bluestockingfilms.com/news/2014/7/3/and-the-bitch-pack-best-in-show-winner-is)

Kimbap - an independently produced film,  was directed by first time director Alex Kyo Won Lee, written and produced by Sapna Samant,  and co-produced by Edward Sampson.

Robin Laing Scholarship WIFTI Special Screening Tomorrow!

Robin Laing Scholarship and WIFTI Screening.
Wednesday July 2, The Film School , 86 Vivian Street, Wellington

Each year WIFT gives the Robin Laing Scholarship to an outstanding student at the Film School.  This year's presentation will be on Wednesday July 2 - 6pm arrival for a drink and nibbles, followed by the presentation, then a special screening of the 8 New Zealand shorts entered for the 2014 WIFTI Showcase.  We have to select two films to send to WIFTI but the judges felt this year's entries were so strong we should screen them all.  Here they are:
