Queen's Birthday Honours for Services to Film

WIFT congratulates Dame Patsy Reddy, WIFT Board member Catherine Fitzgerald, Robyn Scott-Vincent and Frank Stark on their recognition in the Queen's Birthday Honours.2014.

Dame Patsy has been appointed a Dame Companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit for services to the Arts and Business.

Producer Catherine Fitzgerald has a long list of filmmaking credits including The Orator, Turangawaewae/A Place to Stand and Two Cars, One Night. She is a Past President of WIFT and current Chair of NZIFF. She has been made an Officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit for services to Film.


Robyn Scott-Vincent has built Attitude Pictures Ltd into one of the world's leading producers of stories for and about disabled people. She has been made a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit for services to television and people with disabilities.


Frank Stark, Chief Executive of the New Zealand Film Archive has been made a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit for services to Film.

This is the third year for NZ On Air's Digital Media Fund and the Kickstart round is currently open and calling for ideas.  NZ On Air's Digital Strategist Brenda Leeuwenberg will be talking about the Digital Media Fund, the various funding streams within it, and the kind of projects they are looking for.  This will be a reasonably informal presentation but Brenda will be happy to answer any questions, or show off some of the recently launched projects.

Brenda Leeuwenberg is the Digital Strategist for NZ On Air where she looks after the Digital Media Fund.  Prior to this she was the Project Director for the award-winning website NZ On Screen.  Brenda has been on the internet scene for many years, but NZ On Air is her first foray into being in a Government agency.
