This is a series of panel discussions organised by the SDGNZ aimed at helping directors get the best from their front line collaborators, from development through production and postproduction, to finally getting the film in front of an audience.

The NZ Writers' Guild are proud to present a conversation with Academy-award winning screenwriter  David Seidler (The King's Speech). Join chair Fiona Samuel to hear about David's writing life, the intriguing story around making The Kings Speech, and his approach to the craft of screenwriting.

David Seidler has a vast oeuvre writing for stage, television, and feature film. In 2011, he was rewarded for his talent when he received both an Oscar and BAFTA for Best Original Screenplay for  The Kings Speech. David is in New Zealand mentoring at our Writers' Lab Aotearoa.
