You are warmly invited to our first ever Motion Capture Symposium at AUT.
Registration is free, essential and filling fast. Please do so via our event page hereto secure your spot. Do pass this on to colleagues and networks who may be interested.
The aim of the symposium is to foster discussion and debate around the possibilities of Motion Capture as an emerging tool in animation, virtual production, virtual reality and performance, and as an emerging area of academic practice and research.
This one-day event includes panels and presentations from both industry practitioners and emerging academic researchers, plus a showcase of the capabilities of AUT University's recently commissioned Motion Capture Studio.
We are also thrilled to have Dejan Momcilovic as our keynote speaker for this event. Dejan is Motion Capture Supervisor for WETA Digital, who have been the leading innovators in Motion and Performance Capture in films such as Avatar, King Kong, The Adventures of Tintin, The Lord of the Rings and Hobbit film trilogies, and the recent Planet of the Apes franchise re-boot.
